This handy tool easily mounts at the base of your microphone arm. Connect the microphone arm cable to the top and use the grommets on the bottom. It replaces the XLR connector usually found at the base of the microphone arm. The distinctive red button on top is a mute “cough” button. Point this out to your studio guests and have them mute themselves as needed. Your show will sound so much better because of it.

The Mic Drop Gizmo works with both dynamic and condenser microphones. It is placed between your microphone and preamplifier without the need to adjust anything. If your preamplifier provides phantom power, it will just be passed on. Damping is silent. You can even reverse the operation of the button: for applications that require the microphone to be silent unless the button is pressed, simply move a sweater on the circuit board and voila, you have a push-to-talk function.

Like all Angry Audio products, the Mic Drop Gizmo is built to last. With premium components, a steel faceplate and gold-plated connector contacts, you install the device and don’t have to look back. Installation is easy and requires only a hole saw and a screwdriver. Another problem solved. Take a well-deserved break!
