The dbx 520 skillfully helps you tame the excessive sibilance often found in vocals and other high-frequency dense material. Based on the legendary dbx 902, the unique features of the dbx 520 make it possible to achieve a precise amount of de-essing regardless of variations in signal levels. With the 520, you can create brilliant, clear vocals without sibilance! With its 500-series modular design, the dbx 520 examines the dB differences between the high-frequency and full-bandwidth portions of a signal, de-essing signals that change in level by as much as 60 dB. It features frequency control with a range of 800Hz to 8 kHz, gain reduction metering and a de-essing quantity range of 0dB to 20dB.Control vocals, drums, percussive instruments and problematic material/reverb combinations with the dbx 520!
